In conjunction with
the March 2006 ACS meeting in Atlanta, the School hosted a reception
in the Marriot Atlanta Downtown. Many alumni, faculty, emeritus faculty
and guests came to the event, where, in addition to providing food,
drinks, and company, we put on a presentation showing "100 Years
of Chemistry at Georgia Tech" as 2006 was the centennial year for
the BS degree in Chemistry at Tech. April 18-19th 2007, we will be
holding a symposium in our new building to more fully celebrate the
achievements of the program in its first 100 years in conjunction
with the formal inauguration of the building.
