Dr. Perry writes Perspective for "Science" on Optical Nanolithography

June 8, 2009 — Prof. Joseph Perry was invited to write a Perspective piece for Science on three reports in the area of optical nanolithography appearing in the May 15, 2009 issue. These three articles describe approaches to optical lithography using longer excitation wavelengths, that offers potential for lower cost nanolithography, than the standard 193 nm used in industry to produce 45 nm features.

April 2, 2009 — The second Ahmed Zewail Prize in Molecular Sciences has been awarded to Professor Mostafa El-Sayed from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, for his seminal contributions to the understanding of the electronic and molecular dynamics and properties of systems with different length scales, ranging from molecules to nanoparticles to biomedical systems.
