Congrats to Dr. Aleksey Ruditskiy!

ATLANTA -

We all congratulate Dr. Aleksey Ruditskiy from Dr. Younan Xia’s group on successfully defending his Ph.D. a few days ago. Dr. Ruditskiy joined the graduate program in 2012 from City College of New York and has been a recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Dr. Ruditskiy’s research at Tech included groundbreaking work on the growth and shaping of metal nanocrystals and a collaboration with BASF in 2013-2014, culminating in a thesis titled “Nucleation, Growth, and Etching of Noble-Metal Nanocrystals.” His Georgia Tech publications are shown below.  

In addition to research, Dr. Ruditskiy also does outreach work with Trees Atlanta, an organization that creates and maintains green spaces throughout the city.  He is currently considering many options post degree, but will first take some time to travel. We look forward to following him on the next stage in his exciting career!
