Congrats to Dr. Haylee Bachman!
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Haylee Bachman from Dr. Thomas Barker’s group, on the completion of her Ph.D. degree. Dr. Bachman came to our program in 2012 from Georgia Southern University. Her research, summarized in a thesis titled titled “Fibronectin’s integrin binding switch drives lung fibroblast integrin specificity and downstream phenotypic differences,” provided insights into the molecular factors that control a key process in blood coagulation. In this program, she collaborated substantively with colleagues at UCLA, Chapman University, and Emory University. A list of her Georgia Tech publications is shown below.
During her time at Tech, Dr. Bachman received a Management of Technology Certificate, Project Engages Mentorship, GT iGEM facilitator and a GAANN fellowship. She is currently considering many options for her post-degree life, and we look forward to following her on the next stage in her exciting career.
