Atlanta (July 15, 2009) — The Journal of Chemical Physics is pleased to announce Professor C. David Sherrill is joining The Journal of Chemical Physics as an Associate Editor as of 1 May 2009.
Dr. Sherrill’s achievements in Chemical Physics are extensive and will strengthen JCP’s presence in one of its core areas of coverage. His research is focused on the development of ab initio electronic structure theory and its applications to a broad range of problems including noncovalent interactions, highly reactive systems, photochemistry and systems with unusual bonding.
Dr. Sherrill is a Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry. His group conducts ground breaking research, some of which was recently featured in Nature Chemistry. We are excited to have Dr. Sherrill on The Journal of Chemical Physics team as we continue to grow the journal.
