Bagwell Fellowship for Undergraduate Research

Overview

Bagwell Undergraduate Research Mentor Fellowships (Fall/Spring)

Fellowship Goal: create research positions for undergraduate students with no prior research experience

Eligibility: graduate students at Georgia Tech who are willing to mentor an undergraduate student with no prior research experience from the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry

Stipend: $5,000, as part of the regular graduate stipend for one semester. (The rest of the stipend must be supported by the graduate student’s advisor).

The application for this fellowship consists of two rounds:

Round 1 – Graduate students apply to be a research mentor along with the support of their faculty advisor. Each graduate student applicant proposes a research project with an undergraduate mentee. The research proposal must be feasible for an undergraduate student with no prior research experience and includes a plan for initial training of the mentee.

Round 2 – Undergraduate students with no prior research experience apply to the research projects. Eligible applicant’s resumes are pooled for each project and selected by the graduate student mentor.

Bagwell Summer Undergraduate Research Scholarships (Summer)
