Biochemistry undergraduate Sara Dixon won a prize at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society in Washington, DC, for her poster on "Tracing the Evolution of Substrate Specificity in LMW-PTPs and ArsCs". She came to GT in Fall 2023 as a biochemistry major, and started work with with Prof. Lynn Kamerlin and Dr. Bruno Geronimo Quinterono with no prior experience of computational chemistry. Her research and the trip to the national ACS meeting were funded by via PURA (the Presidential Undergraduate Research Award).
